Textile design house, Mikabarr Studio, will present its new collection of fashion and home accessories at Maison & Objet, Paris, Hall 7 Stand D163, from 2 – 6 September 2016.
Mikabarr will unveil a new bags collection, a highlight from this year’s creations, comprising of two clutches and one drawstring. Incorporating Mika’s signature geometrical patterns, the bags offer a tactile, metallic finish featuring fabric combinations.
The company will also present new additions to its trademark line of cushions, designed using shapes that experiment with different line arrangements, within the trend focused Now! design à vivre section of the exhibition.
Visitors can also see the latest release of the growing poufs seating collection, created from outdoor upholstery fabric, to be displayed along with a new package design for the cushions.
This is the third year the Studio is showcasing within now! design à vivre, which highlights the most exciting young designers and exclusive fresh accessories concepts.
Tel Aviv based designer Mika Barr comments: “My inspiration for these accessories emerged from researching the relation between geometrics and organics, whilst observing the different structures found in nature, painting them, and folding diverse shapes. I explored the relations between the printed material itself and the image it creates. In my most recent pieces, I explore the co-existence of the complexities and harmonies in nature.”
Mika works in collaboration with companies and designers, supplying them with her unique designs in mass-produced quantities or as exclusive handmade projects. The collections can be found in selected boutiques across Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.
