Half Moon Bay is excited to announce an AW18 launch of a brand new collaboration with eco-friendly coffee cup brand Huskup. Huskup offer reusable travel mugs made of rice husk, not plastic.
Combining the usually-burnt bi-product of rice milling with a natural starch creates a strong, resilient material which prevents tonnes of waste going to landfill. Not only do Huskups have the ability to diminish the need for hard-to-recycle single use coffee cups, they outshine reusable plastic or bamboo cups by being 100% biodegradable, plastic and BPA free and dishwasher and microwave safe – good for the environment and good for you!
Having launched a successful partnership earlier this year distributing Huskup’s twelve original designs, Half Moon Bay was keen to combine this innovative technology with their best-selling license. The four designs showcase iconic Harry Potter artwork – including everyone’s favourite house-elf, Dobby, and the famous Marauder’s Map – while letting the natural colour of the rice husk show through.
Each cup is presented in a Forestry Managed stock gift box and finished with a recyclable silicone lid and sleeve, providing comfort and protection from hot drinks on the go. Richard Milton, owner of Huksup, says “I’m excited to be working with such a loved franchise and it will be great to see Harry Potter fans getting involved in saving the world too! Being the first to put Harry Potter designs on an eco-friendly reusable coffee cup is really exciting and innovative.”
The collection is scheduled to land in September and Half Moon Bay is expecting it to make magic among Europe’s coffee culture enthusiasts.
