Sabichi Homewares acquires PIFCO from Spectrum Brands

Sabichi Homewares has acquired the historic powerhouse brand, PIFCO, from Spectrum Brands.

Established in Manchester in 1900, PIFCO is considered an iconic British brand, trusted by consumers for many high-quality household essentials, including heating and cooling, personal care, lighting and innovative home products.

The Vice President of Spectrum Brands, Tim Wright, commented: “Spectrum Brands are incredibly pleased to have again worked with Sabichi on them purchasing one of our Heritage Brands as we look to focus on our Core Brands of Russell Hobbs, George Foreman and Remington. Sabichi now have the global brand rights of the PIFCO brand and we are sure they will focus their energy and continue growing it from within and beyond even its already long heritage of success across many diverse categories and we are sure under the strong stewardship of Sam Bagga and his Team, that they will ensure this brand continues with great success for many years to come.”

The Director of Sabichi, Sachin Bagga, said: “Following the success of the Haden brand acquisition and relaunch, we are thrilled to have taken on another iconic British brand! PIFCO has a rich history in a variety of home led products, ranging from the original days of lighting & torches, fans, hair dryers and ‘warmaspheres’ – the olden day heater! We will continue to do the brand justice and most importantly remain true to its core pillars of quality products and value for money.”
