Maison Objet spring edition cancelled

The organiser of Maison Objet has taken the decision to cancel its event scheduled for March 26-30 as the coronavirus rolls on into 2021.

The next edition of the Paris exhibition will now take place from September 9 – 13 2021, in conjunction with Paris Design Week.

The organiser said in a statement: “We all hope that the impact of worldwide mass vaccination campaigns will make it possible to travel and to hold events once again and will make the month of September 2021 a key opportunity to get back to usual business”.

The digital MOM platform will continue to provide an online solution for buyers in search of new collections and this digital solution will be strengthened from the first quarter of 2021, with eight themed ‘Digital Days’ to help buyers source new products.

The first digital day will start on Wednesday January 27 and run weekly until March 19 from Wednesday- Friday.

For the September show, Maison & Objet will enhance its programming with a focus on the Work! and Projects sectors. Work! is highly anticipated, with innovations for work spaces and the office, a field that has experienced major shifts in terms of design over the past few months.

At a time when living spaces are continually redefining themselves, specifiers and interior designers will also discover Projects, an exclusive offer of materials and creative technical solutions for optimising hospitality, commercial and residential spaces.
