The Daily Mirror is bringing back its Shop For Britain campaign in an effort to rally shoppers by supporting local independent retailers once lockdown has been lifted.
The newspaper is planning to run the campaign ahead of the reopening of so-called ‘non-essential’ retail in England on April 12, 2021.
The first Shop For Britain, which received cross-party support, including from Chancellor Rishi Sunak, coincided with the reopening of retail last summer after the first lockdown and urged people to shop locally and, whenever possible, buy British, to help businesses start to bounce back.
As part of the initiative, which first ran in June 2020, Bira members are being given the chance to once again have their names and business details published in the pages of the national newspaper – along with messages to shoppers.
If you would like to see the name of your business published on the pages of The Daily Mirror send your details (name, name of business, location, type of business) – along with a message of encouragement for shoppers and why support is so important to graham.hiscott@mirror.co.uk
