The colour supremos at Dulux have made the vivid yellow, True Joy, their colour of the year for 2025.
The inspiration was the Co’lour Futures Trend Forecast meeting, which found that: “This year, there’s a growing sense across the world that life must be better elsewhere. In times like these, there’s a desire to break free, press reset and welcome in the new.
“Our conversations led us to the theme ‘Just Leap’ and to the shade, True Joy™. This uplifting yellow was created to fill your homes with creative energy, optimism and pride. It works brilliantly on its own as a statement colour or as a striking accent colour to complement other shades”.
The sunniest of colours, yellow is known to be a colour associated with optimism, confidence and positivity, which made it a key component of the Dopamine Décor trend. Yellow is the perfect choice of mood-enhancing colour that you can easily bring to your home interior with plants of this colour.
