Garden Re-Leaf Day gets even bigger as new South-West route joins the line-up

The much-loved Garden Re-Leaf Sponsored Walk is expanding its line-up this March (Friday 21st) with an exciting third route, as the South-West joins the roster.

Organised by Kate Turner of The Underground Podcast, and supported by Peter Burkes of the GCA, Durston Garden Products, and garden writer, blogger, and HTA Past President Alan Down, the South-West walk will make this fantastic fundraising event more accessible to Greenfingers Charity supporters in the region.

Starting and ending in Dartmoor, the new route will span 12 miles, including sections of the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park. Participants will experience its famous open moorlands, dramatic river valleys, and the iconic Dartmoor ponies as part of the challenge.

This year’s floral theme will be in full bloom throughout the South-West walk. From floral hats and scarves to jackets, leggings, and perhaps even some fancy dress, the day will be a joyful celebration of ‘flower power’, teamwork, and camaraderie.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communication at Greenfingers Charity, said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Kate and the team for bringing the South-West into the fold. Adding regional walks not only allows more people to get involved and increase our fundraising total, but it also helps spread the word about Greenfingers Charity to a wider audience of potential supporters, ambassadors, and donors. This third walk is a fantastic addition to our Garden Re-Leaf line-up, and we can’t wait to see it grow and flourish.”
