Card and gift specialist Hallmark launches a charity Christmas card pack with a Text Santa twist
Hallmark is launching a limited edition pack of Little Mix charity Christmas cards today (29th November), which will be available in selected Hallmark stores across the UK and at Hallmark.co.uk .
Designed and produced as a result of Daybreak’s national art competition Sketch Santa, which ran earlier this year on the ITV breakfast show, the cards feature shots of girl group Little Mix (Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall) in various traditional Christmas scenes.
Alongside five group shots, the sixth design also features a unique print from 16 year old Hayley Anderson from Tyne and Wear, who beat thousands of other entries to have her Sketch Santa design showcased in the pack. Costing just £1.99, with 50p going to ITV’s Text Santa appeal, the pack is not just super stylish but a great price too!
Tamsyn Johnston Hughes, Sketch Santa judge and PR and Social Media Manager for Hallmark, said: “This is the third year that we’ve worked with Daybreak to give children the opportunity to bring their Christmas card designs to life. Once again, the quality of entries has been outstanding and it certainly made picking a winner a very tough task – although we’re delighted with our final choice.
“It’s such a privilege to be involved in the Sketch Santa campaign and to be supporting six new Text Santa charities for 2013 as a result. Competitions such as this help to bring the tradition of Christmas card sending to a new generation (especially when they’re supported by artists such as Little Mix) and they help to inspire youngsters to get creative too.”
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, from Little Mix, added: “We had such a good time creating our Christmas cards for this special pack and are so pleased that they will help the six, amazing, Text Santa charities. We hope everyone has a fun, festive holiday. Happy Christmas!”
ITV’s Text Santa raises money and awareness for six UK based charities offering life-changing services to people near you. This year’s chosen charities are Age UK, Barnardo’s, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices. Ant & Dec, Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby and Christine Bleakley & Paddy McGuinness are the presenter line-up for Text Santa, ITV’s annual charity appeal, broadcasting on Friday 20 December.
