Boho Buffalo is a brand of luxury fashion accessories born from the travel experiences of Cardiff based surface designer Emma-jayne Lloyd. The Valleys born designer created Boho Buffalo after two years teaching art on the island of Mallorca.
Inspired by the most beautiful and cultural destinations around the globe, the sumptuous products are hand made in Wales from a unique combination of genuine leather hide and dichroic glass. Traditional leatherwork techniques are amalgamated with modern bohemian fashion trends to create a stylish range of jewellery and bags which include Swarovski crystals, hand printing and beading.
Emma-jayne Lloyd comments: “I was initially introduced to leather work in Marrakesh, where I spent an entire night in a basement watching young brothers making bags for the family to sell at the market the following morning. When I moved to Mallorca I sourced leather scraps from the many shoe factories on the island, bought an old leather sewing machine from an elderly shoe maker and the journey began there!”
Boho Buffalo will be exhibiting at the British Craft Trade Fair which takes place from April 8-10 2018 at the Great Yorkshire Showground in beautiful Harrogate.
