Biely & Shoaf acquires Oatmeal Studios

Biely & Shoaf Co, a major American designer, manufacturer and distributor of greetings cards, stationery and gifts, has acquired humour card specialist, Oatmeal Studios.

Oatmeal Studios’ operations, will be relocated to Biely & Shoaf’s Seattle, WA, headquarters, whilst the sales and creative team will remain in Massachusetts and Vermont. Oatmeal’s national network of sales representatives will stay in place.

Tom Shoaf, principal at Biely & Shoaf said: “We are thrilled to bring aboard such a fantastic product line and look forward to continuing to build on Oatmeal’s legacy as a one of the funniest and most successful card lines in the marketplace.”

Oatmeal’s product range includes more than 300 greeting card designs, all manufactured in the USA with recycled paper and vegetable-based ink. New releases are brought to market almost every month.

David Crane, prior owner of Oatmeal, added, “It’s been a wonderful experience owning and operating such a fun and dynamic company, and I am very happy that Oatmeal’s legacy will continue in good hands with Biely & Shoaf.”

Biely & Shoaf also distributes other award-winning specialty brands including Shannon Martin Design, A. Smyth Co., and the Biely & Shoaf Collection.
