British Craft Directory gets more Buyer friendly

The British Craft Directory has just undergone a major upgrade, designed to make it easier than ever for buyers to source from the best British handmade products. Visitors can now search the Directory by category, region and keyword, as well as via the member A-Z, with hundreds of handmade crafts across a wide variety of disciplines to choose from.

Developer, Denre Bruins, says: “Over the past year we have been working hard to update the format and design of the British Craft Directory and I’m delighted that phase one of the project is now complete.

“We have refreshed the design and made the site product-led, improved the search functionality and made changes to the internal linking system to enhance search rankings even further. These changes are to facilitate the buying process and ensure our makers are found more easily in search engines.

We’re now working on phase two, where makers can approve retailers to directly order with them via the site.

This will be a commission-free ordering system that gives buyers the convenience of sourcing from their favourite makers in one place, whilst makers won’t require B2B logins on their own websites/webshops.

For just £60 p/a you and your products (24 per profile, plus a video) can be seen by thousands of potential buyers from our two mailing lists, one devoted to British handmade and the other serving the more general retail trade, including garden centres and multiples (c7000 retail subscribers in total).
